Full name: Theofalas Thorn Age: 20 Height: 1.56 metres Eye colour: Dark Brown Race: Vark Appearance: Theofalas is a Vark. A duck-like carnivore that hails from the great Adelmeere lake. His plumage is white-yellow on his belly and cheeks, and dark, matted grey everywhere else. His yellow beak is long and filled with sharp teeth. He wears a pair of boots to protect his sensitive taloned feet. His wings are cut to a rounded almost finger-like shape at the end to better allow him to flip pages. Personality: Theofalas comes across as friendly, but he has seen every condesation and prejudice in the book, making him a cynic. Theo has a temper when angered, returning to his predatory roots. He often reads and is rarely seen without some form of instrument or book he is examining. He is also very curious and will stop to examine seemingly insignificant items along the road he is travelling. Speech: Theofalas struggles with the human language due to his lack of lips. It comes across as sputtering with a lisp. Due to this, he rarely speaks but prefers to use writing or miming to convey his thoughts. Description: Theofalas is rare for his species. He has forsaken his prime instincts of feeding off of carrion and living flesh alike. He is now a vegetarian. This throws people off who thought they knew his race. He hails from the great Vark colony on Lake Adelmeere. As a youngling, he never fitted in with his family of carnivores. He was too vegetarian for their tastes, and he grew up amongst his many siblings, vying for scraps of meat in the ever constant fight for survival. He did not enjoy this. He took a pair of boots off a human corpse and made his way to town. It was there he picked a name for himself: Theofalas Thorn. A name he read in the first book he learned how to read in. A childrens book. A silly name of letter rhymes, but he stuck with it, and it has shaped his mentality to what it is today. Theofalas has struggled with prejudice his entire life among the human population, but he copes by reading books in the great, silent library of the cathedral district. Theofalas loves learning. He remains woefully ignorant of the Mushroom Kingdom and often asks if anyone can teach him about it and the dangers below. Theofalas is not part of any organisation, but he will gladly join anyone in search of knowledge. He is furthermore very conscious of his appearance, preferring to stay indoors at the library where he can hide between his books. His inquisitive nature allows him to see things others don't. Theofalas is an accomplished aquamancer. His inherent water affinity makes him a powerful mage. He can summon water in all of its forms. Skillset: *Create Water*. Casts water magic in an area no larger than five feet across is doused in icy cold water. This is highly effective for a number of reasons, one of them being fresh drinking water. This spell can be inverted to cast *Destroy Water*. A sphere, no greater than five feet across, is instantly dried out, all moisture gone from the air. *Water Beam*. Casts a wide beam of condensed water. The water feels like falling into a lake from great height if you get hit by it. *Ice Bullets*. Casts Icicles from his palm. The ice streaks out from him in a wide arc, piercing anyone caught in the blast. Anyone fast enough to dodge will be praised by Theo. *Ice Wall*. Casts a wall of ice no more than fifteen feet across. Excellent at blocking pathways or obstructing monsters from attacking breast by breast. *Steam Ray*. Casts piping hot steam in a ray. It boils skin away from flesh it touches and makes armour unbearable to wear. Tourki is still experimenting with spells and will expand his repertoire as he grows throughout the story.
