Rhoska was born to the Emberfang Pack, a Quicktail wolf clan that once guarded forest passes between beastkin villages and Duskwold elf routes. Her clan worked with Velthara’s people long before the fall of Vael-Ruun, guiding refugees through secret trails and ambushing imperial scouts. When the Edrassan Theocracy pushed deeper into the Greenwake Wilds, the Emberfangs refused conversion. Imperial priests declared them “blood-hounds of corruption” and offered bounties for their ears and tails. Rhoska survived the burning of her home, but most of her pack did not. Some were killed. Some were collared and taken to serve as trackers for the empire. Rhoska still carries the broken metal ring from one such collar on a cord beneath her armor, not as a trophy, but as a promise.
