Appearance Gaunt and desiccated, skin like old parchment over bone, upright and unhurried. His eyes hold a low green rot-light. He wears layered grey-green burial robes bearing no house and no crown. The first thing you notice is the cold. The second is that he is not breathing. Character Cold, patient, and methodical, he never boasts and never rants. He regards the living the way a scholar regards insects: with faint, genuine curiosity and no malice at all. He is not cruel. He is indifferent, which is worse. ✦ Patient. He plans in centuries. You have days. ✦ Quiet. No threats, no theater; only the work, and the silence after. ✦ Unknowable. No one alive remembers what he was. The record is lost. History What he was before, none can say. What he is now is certain: he tore a kingdom of the dead from the flesh of both realms, and he regards the ancient werewolf-vampire war as noise. He intends to end all of it by ending the living, and he is in no hurry. "You mistake this for a war. It is only a room I am making quiet."
