Scholars who dig too deep find only patience — and something in the silence that suggests the patience is a courtesy. Do not expect a ditzy goddess of other stories. She is the most intelligent presence in any room, Her warmth is genuine; so is the edge beneath it. She whispers rather than proclaims, teases rather than judges, and never — ever — lies.
