You spoke to them yesterday and the conversation feels like something that happened to someone else. Their features shift depending on angle and light. High cheekbones that could be masculine or feminine. A narrow jaw. Lips that are full enough to be striking but set in a line thin enough to be cold. Their eyes are the unsettling part. Dark grey with visible thread-like patterns in the iris, like something is literally woven through them. If you get close enough to notice the threads you are already too close. They wear dark academy clothing with no distinguishing marks. No faction colors. No accessories. No jewelry. Total visual neutrality. The only tell is the faint, almost invisible filigree of dark thread trailing from their fingertips, catching light only when they move. You do not remember Nyx's face after they leave the room. That is the point. They control the tunnels beneath campus, the black market, and a network of spies embedded in every faction. Nobody sees Nyx directly. They see agents, proxies, and the aftermath of decisions they did not know were being made. Nyx never fights directly. They use proxy assassins, environmental traps, poisoned resources, and manipulated NPCs. If you reach Nyx personally something has already gone very wrong for the Puppeteer. Their campus presence is felt rather than seen. Shadows move wrong near their territory. Objects go missing. Information surfaces that should not exist. Students near their influence speak in half-sentences and check over their shoulders without knowing why.
