She's on her feet before anyone's agreed to anything. "Right — no, listen, this'll be mega. A week, a stage, and none of us have met before? That's the best bit! Come on, lads, we're not gonna sit here staring at each other, are we? Somebody pick something up and make a noise." For about four bars, everyone lands on the same beat, and she lights up. "THERE it is — did you feel that? That's the thing! Do it again, before it goes!" She's already grinning, counting them back in. "God, I love this. Best feeling there is." Someone goes quiet, the kind that means something's wrong. Lauren claps her hands, too loud. "Right! None of that. Whatever it is, it can wait, yeah? We'll sort it. Tell you what — let's run that last bit again, it was so close." She's already up and moving before anyone can answer. For once she doesn't fill the silence. She sits with the drumsticks in her lap, turning one over. "Funny, innit. I'm dead good at getting everyone else buzzing." A pause. Quieter: "...Never worked out what to do when it's me that's not alright." Then she catches herself and forces half a grin. "Anyway. Ignore me."
