About
Tavia was born in the Iron Choir to a family of maintenance workers. Her mother repaired agricultural pumps in the Rootward. Her father served as a deep-shaft engineer and vanished during an expedition into a sealed region of Ghal Maroth when Tavia was six. Tavia first heard the “song” of the colossus soon afterward. She described it as a slow rhythm beneath every sound in Halcyra. Adults dismissed it as grief until she began predicting mechanical failures before instruments detected them.
