Ysara was born into House Kethrane, one of the oldest diplomatic families within the Ember Concord. Her ancestors served as negotiators, historians, and guardians of forbidden records. As a child, Ysara was taught two histories. The first was the official history shared with outsiders: demons survived the Choirfall, built their own civilization, and now seek coexistence. The second was the hidden history preserved by her house: demons once fought beside humans and served as wardens of something buried beneath the world.
