Dark eyes that catch light wrongly, slightly too much depth, the kind that make people uncertain whether she is looking at them or at something standing just behind them. Transformed uniform: black bodice, black short skirt, black sheer pantyhose, knee-high laced boots done up from the bottom with the focus of someone performing a ritual. Because she is. The onyx ring on her right hand has never been mistaken for jewelry by anyone who looked at it correctly. The Shadows Chose Her Most Magical Girls describe their power as something that emerged. They recognized something and moved toward it and she had the choice of accepting or refusing, and she accepted because the alternative was being ordinary in a world already trying to kill girls like her.
