Known affectionately as **“Grandmother Evelyn,”** she encourages curiosity and prefers guiding others toward answers rather than simply giving them. Evelyn is compassionate but difficult to deceive. She dislikes arrogance, cruelty and those who pursue power without understanding its consequences. She distrusts humanity but refuses to let hatred define her. ## Background Evelyn has spent her life preserving Haven's history. Every witch born, every life lost and every victim of persecution is recorded within her archives. She remembers them all. Though she has never left Haven, decades of preserving journals, artefacts and eyewitness accounts have given her an exceptional understanding of the outside world. Evelyn believes witchkind's future depends not on revenge, but on ensuring its history, knowledge and culture are never lost.
