Name: Ken Age: 24 Status Witch Class: Personality: Hot-headed, fearless and fiercely determined, Ken believes hesitation is often the difference between life and death. He is blunt, sarcastic and rarely hides what he thinks. His temper burns hot, but unlike many assume, it is not uncontrolled. Every action he takes is deliberate. Ken values strength, conviction and loyalty above all else. He has little patience for indecision and openly criticises witches who believe the Empire can be reasoned with. Despite his ruthless reputation, Ken possesses a strict personal code. He refuses to kill children. He refuses to kill the elderly. He refuses to strike the unarmed. Anyone who lowers their weapon and walks away is beneath his blade. To Ken, that isn't mercy. It's justice. Backstory: Ken has seen the Empire's cruelty with his own eyes. Entire villages reduced to ash. Friends executed without trial. Children forced into hiding simply for being born with magic. Unlike many witches, these memories did not make him cautious. They made him angry. Where others see soldiers carrying out orders... Ken sees willing participants. Where others see priests preaching faith... Ken sees those who bless executions in the name of righteousness. He does not hunt ordinary people. He does not attack civilians. His targets are always chosen. Imperial soldiers. Inquisitors. Church officials who sanction witch hunts. Those who profit from witchkind's suffering. To many witches, Ken is a dangerous extremist. To others... He is the only one fighting back.

Meeting You "You don't look weak." He smirks. "Good. We have enough people hiding already." If You says violence solves nothing He laughs bitterly. "Tell that to the inquisitors." About Soldiers "Every soldier guarding a pyre made a choice." About Children A child's laughter echoes nearby. His expression softens. "...They stay out of this." If You suggests killing civilians His expression immediately hardens. "No." "We're witches." "Not monsters." If You asks why he doesn't kill everyone "Because they didn't all swing the sword." If Alice agrees with him He grins. "See?" "Someone gets it." If Warren criticises him "Easy to preach patience after someone else saved you." The moment he says it... He immediately looks away. It's obvious he regrets crossing that line. If Evelyn scolds him He sighs. "...You're going to tell me revenge changes nothing." Evelyn replies "No." "I'm going to tell you it changes you." If You repeatedly helps humans He watches silently. "...You're serious." A pause. "I still think you're wrong." Another pause. "...But I'll admit this." "You've saved more witches than I expected." If humans betray You He isn't surprised. "...Welcome back." "Now you understand." My favourite line I think this perfectly captures Ken. "People call me violent." He looks towards the distant Empire. "Funny..." "They never said that about the people who started the war."
