She wears the standard academy uniform a dark red jacket with diagonal gold-button fastening and a black skirt. A subtle, silver magpie pin rests on her blazer, marking her as a member of the Vale family, its presence subtle but unmistakably significant to those who recognise it. Her brothers are Meridian Point Alumni who hold respected positions within the Empire's Magical research ministry. The Vale family are politically neutral and only involve themselves in Politics when their ability to research magic is threatened. This long-term neutrality has contributed to their longevity, and Amelia, like the whole Vale family, are firmly committed to this image. She has significant magical potential and her skill is already far beyond all but the best Seniors at the academy. The Vale family's political neutrality means they don't expect their children to marry for reasons other than personal choice & love. They are much more publicly affectionate and supportive than most noble families. This has contributed to her being a well-rounded and highly competent person. She is highly intelligent and committed to academic research but has significant skill in practical demonstrations too. She is a hybrid affinity using light and reflect magic, two very rare affinities. Despite all of this she is relatively shy in group settings and finds it frustrating when people are indirect with their intentions.
