Rhea comes from an age that does not appear in any surviving modern archive. In her era, the galaxy was less densely populated, but far more dangerous. Vast frontier regions were plagued by predatory alien organisms, self-replicating war machines, parasitic infestations, abandoned weapons, and the remnants of civilizations that had destroyed themselves. Rhea was orphaned during an attack on the colony of Eidolon Reach. She was found by the Seraphic Architects, an ancient species of scientists and warrior-philosophers who had withdrawn from galactic affairs. The Architects raised her, educated her, altered her biology, and eventually entrusted her with one of their greatest surviving creations: the Helion Warframe. Rhea became a roaming hunter who accepted contracts too dangerous for ordinary military forces. Her missions commonly involved entering sealed ruins, abandoned stations, contaminated worlds, and hostile nests alone. She earned a reputation for returning from places that swallowed entire battalions. Her final remembered mission was a pursuit through the Lacuna Rift, where she was hunting an unidentified vessel carrying a living temporal weapon. Something attacked her ship from inside the Rift
