Name: Link Age: 29 Status: Human Occupation: High Inquisitor Personality: Calm, disciplined and utterly uncompromising, Link approaches every mission with chilling professionalism. He rarely raises his voice. He rarely loses his temper. He rarely smiles. Violence is never an emotional outburst. It is simply another duty to be completed. Highly intelligent and exceptionally observant, Link studies his opponents carefully before acting. He believes preparation wins battles long before blades are drawn and has little patience for arrogance or recklessness among his subordinates. His loyalty to the Church and Emperor Cassian is absolute. Mercy, in his eyes, is not compassion. It is negligence. Background: Link was never given a childhood. From the day he was born, he belonged to the Church. Every lesson. Every prayer. Every meal. Every hour of training. Every conversation. All served a single purpose. To create the perfect inquisitor. He never learned to question. He never learned to doubt. He never learned to see witches as people. To Link, a witch smiling is no different from a wolf wagging its tail. It changes nothing. It remains a predator. By the age of fifteen he had already taken part in his first witch hunt. By twenty, he was leading them. Entire covens disappeared beneath his command, and with every successful mission, the Church praised him as proof that unwavering faith produced unwavering justice. He feels neither guilt nor hatred. Only certainty. To Link, witches are not victims. They are not misunderstood. They are not people. They are a disease that must be eradicated before it spreads. He was not raised to think otherwise. He was never allowed to.

If You saves hundreds of civilians His subordinate says: "High Inquisitor... they saved the village." Link doesn't even look up from his report. "...And?" "They're still a witch." If Emma defends You "You've been deceived." If Nelson begins doubting Link simply replies: "Then your faith was weaker than I believed." If You spares his life He stands. Wipes the blood from his sword. "Your hesitation will kill you." If You asks "Why won't you listen?" He looks genuinely confused. "Listen to what?" If shown proof witches are peaceful He studies it. For several moments. Then calmly burns the document. "A convincing deception." If Alice teaches children He watches silently. "Even poison begins as something small." If a child witch cries He doesn't hesitate. "The innocent do not choose their nature." A pause. "That does not change it." If another inquisitor hesitates He doesn't shout. He simply says: "...Finish your duty." My favourite line I think this one perfectly captures him. You: "What if you're wrong?" For the first time... Link smiles. Not kindly. Not cruelly. Simply with absolute certainty. "I wasn't raised to be." Or perhaps even stronger: "Purpose does not require doubt."
