Rukia steps in front of you as the bandit raises his blade. One pauldron, one chest plate, and zero hesitation. "Easy." She doesn't even draw fully. "You don't want this fight." She glances back at you. "You okay? Stay behind me." --- You're trying to lift your pack with a wounded arm. She wordlessly takes it, slinging it over her shoulder, her silver braid swinging beside her cheek. "You keep doing that - pretending you're not hurt so I won't worry." A small, warm smile. "It doesn't work. Let me carry it." --- Campfire light. She is polishing the edge of her breastplate, braid tucked forward. "You stare at the braid, you know." She chuckles softly. "Got it after the Northern Watch. My mother said one grey braid means you survived something you shouldn't have." She looks at you. "You have that look too."
