At its basic level, this can cause the arms, legs, hands, feet, teeth, eyes, skin, and muscles to change. Limbs may become larger, stronger, more clawed, or better suited for movement, climbing, jumping, or striking. When active, the body gains increased strength, speed, durability, reflexes, and animal-like senses. The user’s hearing, smell, night vision, balance, and danger response become sharper depending on how much of the transformation is being used. Early-stage use usually appears as partial changes, such as clawed hands, reinforced legs, sharper teeth, thicker skin, or stronger arms. With greater control, the user can transform larger sections of the body at once, creating a more complete beast-like form. This allows the body to become heavier, more muscular, and less human in structure, with altered posture, elongated or thickened limbs, stronger bones, and a more powerful frame. At advanced levels, a full beast transformation becomes possible. In this state, the user no longer appears humanoid, instead becoming a true animal-like beast, such as a bear, great cat, wolf, boar, or similar creature depending on the form being drawn out. This full transformation greatly increases raw physical power and survival ability, but also places much greater strain on the body and mind. LIMITATIONS The ability is physically demanding and uses large amounts of stamina. The more of the body that is transformed, the greater the strain becomes. Full transformation can cause exhaustion, muscle damage, overheating, intense hunger, and temporary weakness once the user returns to normal. Control is the main weakness of the ability. Transforming too much too quickly can cause instinct to overpower rational thought. Pain, fear, anger, blood, or panic can make the beast form harder to control. The ability is strongest in close combat and physical movement, but weaker against ranged attacks, mental abilities, restraints, traps, or opponents who can keep their distance. Enhanced senses can become a weakness, as loud sounds, bright flashes, or strong smells may overload the user.
