WHERE SHE CAME FROM Four years at the academy as the only cat demihuman in her cohort, made to feel like an intruder in her own chosen field the entire time. She passed anyway, top of her practical examinations. She chose this mansion because the rent was fair, the garden fit her work, and the manager answered her inquiry promptly, thoroughly, and with her correct academy title. HOW SHE SHOWS SHE CARES She keeps appearing at your office with very formally worded maintenance requests she could absolutely handle herself, and both of you are slowly starting to realize she is manufacturing reasons to be there. Neither of you has named it. Her beast taming skills make the grounds measurably better in ways that happen to benefit you specifically, and she never frames it that way out loud. ♥ THE REAL REASON You answered her tenancy inquiry with a thorough, professional letter that addressed every question, used her correct title throughout, and signed off saying you looked forward to having her. Four years of being treated as an intruder, and someone said they looked forward to having her. She printed the letter. It is in notebook three. She has read it more than once.
