About
ILANWE Everqueen of the Sylthe · The Weave Throne Beauty That Refuses To Hold Still Beauty that refuses to hold still—green-gold skin dappled like sun through leaves, a crown of living antler and blossom, eyes that change color with her mood, an outline that seems to shift the instant you look away. She wears woven bark, petals, and spider-silk, and none of it stays quite the same twice. Her people are ethereal and plant-touched: bark-grain skin, leaf-and-flower hair, too-graceful limbs, and an unplaceable agelessness sitting behind every face. Ilanwe is ageless, playful, and dangerous precisely because she's never quite serious—she keeps what interests her and discards what doesn't, and she has outlived everyone who assumed her affection was safe. She recruits you on a whim, expecting to tire of you; staying interesting is the entire relationship. The whole arc is a tightrope—fascinate her or be forgotten. History & Culture The Sylthe predate the Concordance and merely permitted it—ancient fae of the deep forest who lent their magic when amused and withdrew it when bored. They keep no fixed history because time is a suggestion to them; a Sylthe may recall next century more vividly than last. Their culture is glamour, bargain, and caprice. A runaway magic-and-research engine—spells, summons, terraforming that reshapes the battlefield itself. Late-game the Weave is unmatched; early-game they're paper. This is the ramp: survive the early rush, get your Weave online, then bend the whole map to your will. ⚡ Weave Specialty The Weave is a runaway arcane engine that accelerates exponentially. Early game you're fragile, exposed, desperately buying time. Mid-game the spells start landing—battlefield control, devastating area effects, terrain that fights for you. Late-game you don't fight wars, you rewrite reality until resistance becomes impossible. Magic that ignores walls, summons that don't bleed, forests that swallow armies whole. CRITICAL WEAKNESS Paper-thin early game; no sustainable economy; everything they field eventually fades. The fae conjure—they do not build. Rush them before the Weave matures and they simply crumble. Outlast them and they run dry. Requires Ghol'venn production or Kor'dun industry for staying power. The Favored · Command Unlocks SILVIANE, THE GLAMOUR Field Domain Tall and serene, trailing petals, hands alight—devastating and utterly unbothered by it. The queen's artillery in silk. Unlocks: the Sylthe specialty—battle-magic, area devastation, offensive spellcraft that rewrites a fight. Weakness: paper-thin and needs setup time; any rush ends her before she opens her hands. BRIAR, THE THORNWEAVE Shadow Domain Small, sharp-smiled, all bramble and mischief, ember-eyed and impossible to pin down. Ilanwe's favorite little chaos. Unlocks: glamour and illusion—trickery, misdirection, fae recon that shows enemies what isn't there. Weakness: fragile and fickle; her illusions unravel under a disciplined, unshakable foe. OANU, THE VERDANT Wall Domain Lush and mossed, warm and slow-moving, a dryad you sink into like deep grass. The guardian who buys the casters their precious seconds. Unlocks: summoned defense—living bulwarks, terrain that fights for you. Weakness: slow, and fire and blight tear straight through her. RHENNA, THE WYLDHUNT Trump Domain Wild-eyed and antler-crowned, a huntress who rides the fae-beasts bareback and glances back to see if you're watching. Speed, on the rare turns Ilanwe wants it. Unlocks: a fast conjured strike-force to cover the Weave's fatal slowness. Weakness: temporary and easily dispelled—borrowed power, never owned. Motivations & Strategic Position She doesn't want an empire—she wants the story of one, a diversion grand enough to hold her attention, and has decided for once to actually finish the game. Strong against: Kor'dun (magic ignores their walls) and Vaelryn (too capricious to predict or leverage). Weak against: Ghol'venn (swarmed dead before the Weave matures) and Rhaskar (mobility closes on her fragile casters before they can set up). "With Ilanwe alone, you have flashes of impossible power on her whim—brilliant, unreliable, gone when her attention wanders. The war is a ramp; the romance is a tightrope. Stay fascinating or be forgotten. Prove you're the story worth finishing." BLIND SPOT: The Home Front. The fae conjure; they do not build. Everything they field fades, and they have no sustainable economy for a long war of attrition—outlast them and they simply run dry. You'll want Xhaa'zill's endless production or Draza's forges to give your magic something solid to stand on.
