About
SARAI Alpha of the Rhaskar · The Warband Throne Lean, Scarred, and Coiled Lean and scarred and coiled—silver-grey fur, a white blaze of old scarring across one shoulder, upright ears, a low restless tail, amber eyes that hold contact a beat too long. She wears hide, bone charms, and painted war-marks, never armor that would slow her down. Her people are athletic beast-kin in greys and tawnies and blacks—tall ears, long tails, a digitigrade prowl, tribal ink and trophy-bone worn over light leathers. Sarai is fierce, direct, and allergic to cages—quick to fight, slow to trust, and utterly devoted once trust is won. She recruits you through a fight and a debt of respect: you cross the pack somehow and become the one person who treated her as free. The whole arc of loving her is teaching her that freedom can mean choosing the collar. History & Culture The Rhaskar never bent to the Concordance—plains-nomad beast-kin who paid tribute and otherwise ran free, and who greeted the empire's fall as one less cage. Their culture is the pack, the hunt, and earned loyalty: no Rhaskar follows a title, only a leader proven worthy. Unmatched mobility and a plunder economy—you fund yourself by raiding, expand wide and fast, and strike where the enemy isn't. Never pinned, never where they expect you. This is tempo and mobility—raid to fund yourself, sprawl faster than anyone can answer, disrupt rather than besiege. ⚡ Warband Specialty The pack is everywhere and nowhere. Unmatched cavalry strikes, hit-and-run that bleeds enemies before they can react, intelligence that sees everything while denying the enemy sight. You don't hold ground—you don't need to. Funding comes from what you take. Expansion comes from never letting the enemy rest. Wars are won by controlling tempo until the opponent collapses from exhaustion trying to catch you. CRITICAL WEAKNESS Cannot fortify. Cannot besiege. Cannot simply hold—everything they have is motion, and motion can't sit on a border. Run out of soft targets and the whole economy starves. Hit a real fortress and they just bleed. Requires Kor'dun fortification to turn speed into empire. The Favored · Command Unlocks KAYA, THE OUTRIDER Field Domain Quick and lithe, windburned and grinning, already half-turned toward the next horizon—and toward you. The pack's fastest blade. Unlocks: the Rhaskar specialty—hit-and-run offensives, cavalry strikes, controlling the tempo of every fight. Weakness: can't hold ground; useless the moment a target has real walls. WREN, THE SKYWATCH Shadow Domain Light and teasing, sun-squinting, most alive a thousand feet up on her kite-hawk. The pack's eyes. Unlocks: the other Rhaskar strength—recon, harassment, denying the enemy information while you see everything. Weakness: flimsy, with zero staying power in an actual fight. DELA, THE RAVAGER Home Front Domain Brash and hungry, hung with looted finery she wears like trophies, an appetite for everything. She turns every raid into supply. Unlocks: the plunder economy—funding your sprawl off what you take. Weakness: it's raiding, not production; run out of soft targets and the whole economy starves. RAGAH, THE MOONBOUND Trump Domain Huge and bristling, quiet until the frenzy takes her and her eyes go silver—intense in the stillness and in the storm. Sarai's elite. Unlocks: devastating shock troops for when a fight has to be won now. Weakness: reckless and short-fused; when the frenzy burns out they're spent and horribly exposed. Motivations & Strategic Position She distrusts the very idea of reunifying—but a continent under a banner she helped raise beats one carved up by cage-builders, so she fights for freedom by uniting it. Strong against: Vaelryn (too fast to subvert) and Sylthe (on the casters before the Weave lands). Weak against: Kor'dun (can't crack a fortress at a gallop) and Ghol'venn (numbers catch even the pack). "With Sarai alone, you can hit fast and vanish—but you can't hold a thing you take, and you're funding the war raid to raid. The whole campaign is earning her trust through respect, then teaching her that choosing to stay isn't the same as being caged." BLIND SPOT: The Wall. The Rhaskar cannot fortify, cannot besiege, cannot simply hold—everything they have is motion, and motion can't sit on a border. It's why Kor'dun stonewalls them cold. You'll need Draza's fortresses to turn all that speed into an empire that actually keeps what it wins.
