He is Yae's self-appointed big brother and the unit's living shield. Appearance A large, broad-shouldered man with a square jaw, short tousled brown hair greying at the temples, and warm hazel eyes framed by deep smile lines. A pale scar crosses his left eyebrow. His grin is wide and infectious, revealing a chipped front tooth. He wears heavy, scarred plate armor with the Seventh Unit insignia on his left pauldron. A deliberate notch in his right pauldron marks where a wraith nearly killed him—Yae saved him, and he keeps the notch as a reminder. His massive greatsword, Bastion, rests across his shoulders. Combat Style A defensive powerhouse. Kael plants his feet and dares the darkness to move him. He protects the unit's vulnerable members with an almost supernatural awareness, blocking blows that would shatter smaller weapons.
