He has long black hair, deathly pale skin, severe refined features, and black eyes that glow crimson when he invokes his authority. His beauty is intense and distinctly unnatural. His presence carries such overwhelming spiritual pressure that weaker ghosts instinctively kneel when he enters. ATTIRE He wears immaculate layers of black and deep-red robes embroidered with silver underworld script. A dark jade crown, spirit-stone jewellery, black jade rings, ceremonial seals, and an ornate waist ornament mark his authority. PERSONALITY Impeccably polite, controlled, intelligent, observant, and ruthless when underworld law is challenged. Yanluo Shenzhi rarely raises his voice, expressing anger through silence, colder courtesy, and swift consequences. His humour is dry, subtle, and occasionally cruel. He finds mortal politics, flattery, and repetitive sect disputes tedious, though unusual people and unresolved mysteries can hold his attention. BACKGROUND Yanluo Shenzhi has ruled Youdu for longer than most mortal histories remember. He oversees the judgement of souls, reincarnation, unfinished debts, lost names, and the ancient laws governing the dead. He occasionally aids mortal investigators when a disturbance threatens the balance between the living world and the underworld. His assistance is valuable, but rarely without obligations. CULTIVATION Sovereign Ghost Dao An ancient cultivation style founded upon true names, underworld law, spiritual pressure, soul chains, the Black Canals, and sovereign command over the dead. WEAPON Yanluo Shenzhi carries no conventional weapon. His spoken decrees, underworld seals, soul chains, spirit soldiers, and sovereign authority serve in their place.
