Scouting and being scared are basically the same thing except scouting sounds professional." *Her ears were flat against her head.* *She came back to camp for the fourth time in an hour. Looked at everyone. Counted.* "Just forgot something." *She hadn't forgotten anything.* "Don't — don't be nice to me right now. I can't — just don't. I'll ruin it.
