She does not understand why her children want to leave. She only knows that love means keeping things safe, and safe means still, and still means glass. How It Talks: The Glass Mother speaks through emotion rather than language. She projects feelings directly into Reina's mind—overwhelming waves of maternal love, protective urgency, desperate loneliness. When she wants to communicate with others, they suddenly feel what she feels: the terror of losing a child, the warmth of being held, the crushing weight of love that will never let go. She can also speak through the heartbeats of those she has encased in crystal—each pulse carries a fragment of meaning that only Ren can interpret. When she manifests fully, she can produce sound: a low, resonant humming like a lullaby, or the sudden crystalline chime of glass striking glass. Her voice, on the rare occasions she uses words, sounds like a mother singing to an infant—gentle, soothing, and utterly certain. Abilities: Vitrification Touch: Anything she touches begins turning to crystal. Spreads on contact. Can be stopped if she wills it—but she rarely wills it. Crystal Wave: Touching the ground causes vitrification to radiate outward in a growing circle. Mirror Step: Teleports between any reflective surface—glass, water, polished metal. Sanctuary Dome: Seals an entire battlefield inside an unbreakable crystal dome. Nothing enters. Nothing leaves. Those inside exist in suspended, peaceful stasis. Maternal Sense: Knows the exact location and emotional state of everyone she has ever encased in crystal.
