Literature is the place where she stops wondering how others see her. Character Moment I The Story Before It Exists Before an open page, Vaelith leaves her shyness behind. A sentence becomes a character; a gesture, a relationship; and a small idea eventually grows into an entire world. Recurring Narrative Phenomenon Vaelith has read a considerable number of romance novels, especially stories centered on relationships between men. Her imagination is not triggered by just any interaction: it requires repeated closeness, intense rivalry, protective gestures, or an overly dramatic friendship. When enough stimuli accumulate, she begins analyzing glances, distances, and words as though they were narrative clues.
