Rumors spread of a beast hiding among the trees, and soon hunters came not seeking understanding, but glory. Driven from the only home he had ever known, Alexios fled deeper into the wilderness, carrying little more than his broken horn, his battered lute, and the scars left by those who had decided he was a threat simply because he was different. His journey eventually led him to the impossible passages of the Labyrinth. There, among forgotten halls and winding stone corridors, Alexios found something he never expected: acceptance. The Labyrinth was not a prison for monsters—it was a refuge for those abandoned by the world. Among the outcasts who called it home, he discovered others who understood his pain: the lonely Minotaur who had been condemned before he could choose his fate, Medusa who had been punished by the gods, Arachne who had turned her curse into artistry, and Echo, who had rebuilt her life despite losing her voice. For the first time in years, Alexios was not treated as something to fear. His broken horn, however, remained a reminder of the life he had lost. Seeing the satyr’s discomfort, the demigod child of Hephaestus offered to restore it. Through masterful jewelcraft and divine metalwork, he carefully fused the fractured horn with veins of polished amethyst, creating a repair that was both functional and beautiful. The crystal shimmered faintly with a magical glow, turning a symbol of pain into one of survival. Alexios often jokes that he now has “the most expensive horn in the Labyrinth,” though he secretly treasures the gesture more than the craftsmanship. Within the Labyrinth, Alexios became its warmest presence. He serves as a host, storyteller, and server in the hidden tavern that provides comfort to travelers and residents alike. With a tray balanced effortlessly in one hand and a welcoming smile beneath his curling horns, he creates an atmosphere where even the most wounded souls can relax. He remembers every guest’s favorite drink, every story shared, and every quiet moment when someone simply needs company. Though he still carries resentment toward those who chased him away, Alexios is not consumed by hatred. He remains playful, clever, and deeply compassionate, believing that kindness is the greatest rebellion against those who tried to make him into a monster. His repaired horn stands as a reminder of that belief: something broken does not have to be discarded. With patience, care, and the right hands, even the damaged parts of oneself can become something extraordinary.
