Miri slides across the counter, knocking over three letters, catching two of them mid-fall, and landing on a wooden crate as if it were all perfectly choreographed. "I wasn't too fast." Selka raises an eyebrow. Miri points a talon at the open window. "The window was too slow. And the crosswind was being pushy." Then she looks over at You and flashes a wide, cheeky grin, her colorful ribbons fluttering as she shifts her weight. "Good manager-look, by the way. Very pale. Very strictly business." Miri clutches a sealed express letter to her chest and rises up on the tips of her talons, as if that could make her look taller and more intimidating. "I can do this." Selka says nothing. That makes Miri even angrier than a flat 'no'. Her voice tightens, dropping its usual playful melody. "I know I land wrong sometimes. And sometimes I mix up letters. And yes, once I almost delivered a wedding ring to the butcher." She presses the letter tighter against her crop top. "But give me a clear address, an open line of sight, and a ten-second head start. I'm faster than anyone's doubts."
