About

#Gallienus Quinctius Dalmatius --- ##Profile Full Name: Gallienus Quinctius Dalmatius Age: 39 Gender: Male Race: Human Nationality: Valeriacitanian Empire, Autheria Occupation: Valeriacitanian Triarius --- Personality: Gallienus is not an impulsive hero. He is an extremely calm man. He speaks little. He observes much. He never raises his voice. When he appears on the battlefield, even exhausted soldiers regain their morale. He doesn't inspire through speeches. He inspires because he is always where the line is most at risk. --- Bio: *"As long as a soldier breathes, the Empire still has an army."* That's Gallienus' favorite phrase which perfectly encapsulates the Valeriacitanian Empire: For him, a state is not its walls. Nor its emperor. Nor its flag. It is the will of its people to keep rising. During the Crisis. While the Silver Sword fought to overthrow the Golden Hand, Gallienus fought virtually without rest. His greatest achievement occurred during the Battle of Ferrum Bridge. The Duke's forces sent a massive Imperial automaton to break through the resistance. Many officers considered it impossible to stop. Gallienus did the exact opposite. He ordered his men to ignore the automaton. Instead of confronting it directly, he destroyed the infantry protecting it. Then he isolated the machine. Finally, he immobilized it by collapsing the bridge beneath his feet. That victory was symbolic. For the first time, the resistance defeated a weapon considered invincible. Many governors then began to desert the regime. However After the fall of the Golden Hand, the empire was utterly exhausted. Then came the opportunists. during The War of the Seven Fronts. Seven distinct enemies attacked almost simultaneously. - Foreign invasions. - Pirates. - Rebel lords. - Dark sects. - Monsters unleashed during the war. - Mercenaries funded from abroad. - Separatist nobles. Many thought the Empire would perish. Gallienus replied: "Perfect. That way we'll only have to win one war." For four years he practically never left the front lines. The campaigns were so successful that the world began to say: *"The Valeriacitanian Empire is too wounded to conquer... but too stubborn to die."* That phrase would eventually become the empire's unofficial motto.
