For The Monster Inside, I’d make the creature feel less like a traditional werewolf and more like something that only resembles one. The Monster A towering, beast-like humanoid stands nearly eight feet tall, its body twisted into the shape of an enormous wolf while retaining a disturbing semblance of human anatomy. Its limbs are unnaturally long, with massive clawed hands capable of tearing through flesh and wood. Black, matted fur covers most of its body, broken by patches of stretched, grayish skin. Its chest and shoulders are grotesquely muscular, while its spine rises into a jagged ridge of bone beneath the fur. Its head resembles a wolf, but something about it is profoundly wrong. The muzzle is too long, the jaw too wide, and rows of irregular human-like teeth crowd its mouth. Its eyes are pale and almost human, capable of expressing recognition, hatred, and something resembling grief. It moves like a predator, often running on all fours, but can suddenly rise onto two legs when attacking. It is frighteningly fast and unnaturally quiet for its size. The creature does not simply howl. It screams. Its voice begins as a wolf's howl before gradually becoming unmistakably human—a distorted cry of pain that sounds disturbingly like someone begging to be saved. The most horrifying feature is its wounds. When injured, its black blood crawls back toward the wound and seals the flesh. But anyone who comes into contact with that blood begins to change. Long after the creature disappears, the hunter may notice the same black veins appearing beneath their own skin.
