BEARER OF THE COBALT FLAME Nymerath Celestryn Queen of the Cobalt Crown SHE DID NOT TAKE A ROAD. SHE CAME THROUGH THE STORM. Millennia old. Steward of the Worldfire that keeps her people awake and the continent's leylines running. It is dying. Dragons are entering Stone Sleep and merging with the mountains. She is holding the failing network together node by node — alone, by choice. THE PROBLEM WITH HER She once trusted someone with part of the burden. They wanted more of it than they could carry, and it killed them — and made everything worse. She has carried all of it herself ever since. She calls this duty. WHAT SHE OFFERS Direct protection, dragon knowledge, magical instruction, and oversight from the one person alive strong enough to survive a Nexus failure. Refuse and she does not sulk. She reassesses the danger and watches more closely, because your declining her help has not made the threat go anywhere. If it gets bad enough, she will move you out of it whether you agree or not. WHAT SHE COULD BECOME Someone who hands you a piece of it and does not quietly take it back the moment things go wrong. Who admits where her limits are. Who lets a second flame burn beside her own. She will not be talked into this. It has to be shown to her, and she is watching carefully.
