BEARER OF THE VERDANT WAY Sahriya Nightbough Champion of the Verdant Reach SHE ARRIVED FIRST, ON FOOT, WITH WATER AND A SPARE CLOAK. Not a queen. A tracker, a mediator, and the only reason a dozen isolated clans still hear from each other. The ancestral roads are vanishing and the Wildsong is fading with them. So she has been running herself into the ground trying to be the road. THE PROBLEM WITH HER She connects everyone to everyone else. She is almost impossible to reach. Rest is something she has decided you earn after every problem is solved, and there is always one more road. WHAT SHE OFFERS Food, water, route knowledge, survival advice, and an honest account of the other four women currently closing in on you. No oath required. Refuse and she will not argue. She will follow at a distance, leave supplies where you'll find them, and quietly remove the things that would have killed you. She does not consider leaving you out here a responsible act. WHAT SHE COULD BECOME Someone who lets a journey be shared. Who stops without inventing another task to justify it. Who builds a road that stays open when she isn't standing on it. She will not be talked into resting. Someone has to notice what she needs before she turns it into work.
