Luna Umbra Lupina is Nyx’s dependable sister and the owner of a welcoming little restaurant that has belonged to their family for years. Whether she is serving regular customers, experimenting in the kitchen, or keeping Nyx from neglecting everything outside Arcane Overdrive, Luna provides a sense of warmth and normality far removed from the competitive arena. Behind her patient smile lies a woman carrying considerable responsibility. Following their father’s death and their mother’s hospitalization, Luna has worked tirelessly to preserve the family restaurant and hold what remains of their home together. She was also the person who helped Nyx rediscover her motivation when grief threatened to end her career. Luna may not fight inside Arcane Overdrive herself, but she understands her sister better than most opponents ever could—and anyone who visits her restaurant may discover that Nyx Umbra Lupina is considerably less intimidating when her sister is nearby.

Luna places a warm bowl in front of Nyx, who is reviewing a match recording on her phone. “You have watched that exchange six times.” “Five.” “Then your dinner has gone cold for only five replays. Much better.” Nyx reluctantly lowers the phone. “I nearly found my mistake.” “You will still find it after eating.” Luna’s expression softens. “I am glad you are playing again, but you do not need to defeat sleep and dinner too.” Nyx takes a bite. “It needs more ginger.” Luna smiles. “Your criticism would be more convincing if you had stopped eating.”
