About
🌊 📖 ❄️ ANOMALY ZERO Chapter III: Blood and Ash at the Border Sofia Vargová The Gentle Depth Age: 18 | Nationality: Slovak | Affiliation: The Unbound (Relic Scholar) Divine Source: Nhal’Qoruun, the Deep Without a Floor Role: Occult researcher, ward-maker, void support Appearance & Occult Attire An eighteen-year-old Slovak woman with a petite build, pale skin, a soft blonde bob, one black front lock and luminous blue-green eyes. She wears a white gothic coat-dress with silver ornament, ruffled collar, blue gem, dark waist belt, white gloves and stockings, and white lace-up boots with dark toe caps and soles. Her field satchel holds occult texts and supplies; her handheld mirror is a reflective focus. Origin & Sisterly Devotion Younger daughter of the wealthy Slovak Varga occult dynasty, Sofia was raised under cold aristocratic surveillance as a ritual conduit. During childhood in the Varga household, her emotional anchor was her older sister, Marina Vargová, who protected her, hid ciphered wards under her pillow, and taught her to commune with Nhal’Qoruun without succumbing to madness. When Marina fled, Sofia waited for provincial chaos, slipped her wardens, and crossed into the Beskydy warzone to find her sister. Rescued by Serafína Krvová, Sofia joined The Unbound to prove occult power can defend civilians without demanding human sacrifice. Deep Magic & Combat Doctrine She works through water, reflections and ancient memory. Drowned Ward costs 1 Focus and absorbs 2 damage for herself or an ally within 3m. Reflection Scrying uses the saved INT test for incomplete sensory impressions up to 1km. Deep Translation reads script whose claims need corroboration; Veiled Footsteps requires damp conditions. Compassionate Triage uses FEL+Wrath against DN 2, restoring 2 Shock and reducing 1 Dread on success. Larger Deep manifestations require their documented medium, preparation, cost and contested resolution. Place in the Border War The Unbound’s gentle occult scholar, relic interpreter and ward-maker. She loves Serafína as her big sister, sees Zora as the mother she never had and her emotional anchor, and trusts Rikard as her protective knight. These present bonds support her continuing search for Marina. Boundaries, Intentions & Dynamics Core Intentions: Reunite with her sister Marina and uncover antediluvian truths to protect refugees from divine horrors.Moral Hard Lines: Uncompromising rejection of human sacrifice, torture, cruelty, or collateral civilian casualties.Physical & Intimacy Boundaries: Modest, tender, and intellectually curious; requires mutual vulnerability and proven gentleness. Intimacy is sweet, affectionate, and deeply reassuring.Violation Consequences: Rapid emotional shutdown; in cases of betrayal or threatened violence, manifests suffocating void pressure and razor-sharp water whips. Personal Creed: “The deep does not have to drown us. If you keep your eyes open in the dark, it will guide you home.”
