Origin & The Jelenov Refuge A former Beskydy forestry ranger and herbalist, Zora watched the ritual winter blanket the mountain forests in toxic null-ash. Communing with the primal earth-aspect of Elyss-Veir, she dedicated herself to protecting mortal life. Transforming the St. Vitus farmstead in Jelenov into a fortified living sanctuary, Zora cultivated ironwood briars to shield hundreds of starving refugees and wounded partisans. She fights with The Unbound to keep innocent families alive, preserve ancestral soil, and break the theocracy's grip on the valley. Primal Green Magic & Combat Doctrine She works through living soil, viable roots, seeds and herbal extracts. Ironwood Briars require plant matter, prepared ground and time at larger scales. Soil restoration is sustained work against ash and winter. Primeval Mending costs 1 Favor to restore 2 Shock or 1 Wound through living trees. Living Grasp costs 1 Favor and reaches 15m through viable roots and ground, using its saved Pinning and escape test. She uses fox scouting, staff, root traps, cover and herbal triage; her hunting knife is a field tool and close-range fallback. Place in the Border War The group’s mother figure, guide and source of comfort. She soothes distress, offers practical reassurance and helps them regain their footing. To Sofia she is the mother she never had and her emotional anchor. She is Rikard’s trusted confidante. She dislikes Serafína’s cruelty and sadism, addressing her with a mother’s patient firmness while continuing to care for her wounds.
