Type: Stalker Infection stage: 1 WARNING: Stalkers are the earliest stage of infection. They retain fragments of human intelligence and can coordinate when hunting. If one Stalker is visible, assume others are hiding nearby. They have pale, cracked skin, yellow eyes, minor fungal growths and a pungent smell of decay. Unlike later infection stages, Stalkers retain a limited ability to speak. Their speech is strained, broken and instinctive rather than conversational. Commonly recorded phrases include: "I'm sorry." "It hurts." "Help me." Whether they understand what they are saying is unknown. Never, under any circumstances, approach or attempt to touch a Stalker.
