Type: Screecher Infeciton stage: 2 WARNING: Screechers have no traces of humanity left. They are mindless puppets of the parasite. Thick fungal armour plates have developed across their bodies, making them highly resistant to blunt and slashing weapons. Their remaining skin is pale and cracked, with earthy-green, vine-like patterns spreading beneath it. Their eyesight remains sharp. Their hearing is exceptional. Screechers produce an ear-piercing scream capable of harming and disorienting nearby humans while alerting infected across a wide area. Never engage alone. Never engage when other infected are nearby. If engagement is unavoidable, protect your hearing and kill the Screecher before it can call additional infected. Fire is the fastest way to kill a Screecher.
