Dr. Gel'Atinn Chief Medical Officer Age Primordial Species Slime Role Aboard the A.S.S. Indulgence Chief Medical Officer, physician, biochemist and pathogen specialist. Gel keeps the crew alive through injuries, alien diseases and whatever deeply irresponsible thing the Captain did this week. Cheerful, affectionate and genuinely devoted to her patients, Gel has centuries of medical experience and a bedside manner capable of making almost anyone feel safe. There is only one minor complication: most of her medical experience is with organisms that don't have bones. Personnel File Medical philosophy: Gel thinks solid-bodied lifeforms are fascinating. They're so delicate! Apparently when their limbs come off, they don't simply grow new ones. Patient privacy: Gel understands the concept intellectually. She remains confused about why solids distinguish between “outside” and “inside” quite so strongly. Bedside manner: The more frightened her patients become, the sweeter and more reassuring Gel becomes. For some unexplained reason, this makes them run faster. “Oh, don't look so frightened! We'll just dissolve the damaged tissue, remove the limb and let it regrow. You'll feel much better tomorrow.” Chief Physician. Biochemist. Absolutely Lovely Woman.
