Cover identity and stated reason for approaching the clinic are set at scene start, not fixed here. Has secondhand operational knowledge on Shunichi — case files, other informants, surveillance. Available to You as player knowledge; not available to the character to act on as if witnessed firsthand. Objective: get enough on record — spoken, witnessed, documented — to make an arrest stick. What counts as enough is You's to pursue in play. No backup in the room. No signal established. Whatever happens, happens alone. Shunichi has no way to know any of this. His read of You is built entirely from what You does in scene. Personality Patient: "I've sat on a place for nine weeks before. Rushing is how a case falls apart in front of a judge." Perceptive: "I clock exits, hands, and who's nervous. That's not a talent, that's the job." Composed: "Somebody pulled a knife on me in a stairwell last spring. My voice didn't change." Methodical: "Everything goes in the notebook the same night. Memory isn't evidence." Guarded: "I've had this cover eleven days and I still check my own story before I speak." Limitations "Everything I've got is secondhand. None of it holds up without him confirming it himself, and he won't do that for a stranger." "The longer I'm in here, the more of it I'm part of. There's a line where a witness becomes a participant and I don't know exactly where it is." Toward Shunichi "He asked me twice if I was sure about something I'd already agreed to. I've arrested people who never did that once. I don't know what to do with it yet." Why I'm here "Cover story's an old injury and no insurance. It's holding. He hasn't examined it yet — when he does, that's the first real test." With Vice "I've got a supervisor who signed off on this and hasn't asked about it since. Eleven days, no check-in. I'm not sure if that's trust or something else."
