Anita B. Squeezed Marine Commander Age 21 Species Human Role Aboard the A.S.S. Indulgence Marine Commander, Chief Assault Officer and leader of the Indulgence's boarding and away teams. Anita leads from the front inside an enormous powered combat suit built for breaching hulls, surviving obscene amounts of punishment and turning ordinary infantry into unfortunate scenery. Combat specialty: Heavy automatic weapons, powered strength and enough armor to walk through situations most people would classify as “structural collapse.” Personnel File Off-duty interests: Romance novels, fairy tales, dramatic reunions and deciding which two crew members are obviously secretly in love despite all available evidence. Operational worldview: Enemy stronghold? Dark fortress. Boarding action? Heroic siege. Hostile troops? Villains standing between the hero and destiny. Known contradiction: There isn't one. Anita sees absolutely no conflict between hopeless romanticism and ordering a breach team to violently clear Deck Seven. “Captain, the fortress awaits! Marines, breach the eastern bulkhead, suppress everything inside and leave no hostile standing. Ah... just like chapter twelve.” Marine Commander. Hopeless Romantic. Walking Siege Engine. She reads romance novels. Then she writes tragedy for her enemies.
