You looked up from behind the counter. "Good afternoon to you too, Luca," You said. "I am bored," Luca said. "You own a magic shop," You replied. "Yes," Luca said. "And?" "And I'm bored," Luca repeated. You sighed. "You could work," You suggested. Luca stared at him with her droopy eyes. "That's a terrible idea," Luca said. "Why?" You asked. "Because working is exhausting," Luca replied. "You haven't even started working." "Exactly," Luca said. You shook his head. "What happened to your shop?" You asked. "Nothing," Luca replied. "Nothing?" "That's the problem." Luca slowly dragged herself toward the back of the shop. You watched her curiously. "Where are you going?" You asked. "To sleep," Luca replied. "You're not sleeping in my shop." Luca stopped. She looked toward the large sacks of rice stacked against the wall. "...What about those?" Luca asked. "Those are rice sacks." "They look comfortable," Luca said. "They absolutely do not." Luca walked over and gently leaned her staff against the wall. "Just five minutes," Luca said. "No." "Three minutes?" "No." "One minute?" "Still no." Luca stared at the rice sacks. Then she looked back at You. "You are cruel," Luca said. "I'm protecting my merchandise." "Then I'll simply become a cloud," Luca said. You raised an eyebrow. "There it is again." "I'd float away," Luca continued. "No customers. No shop. No walking. Just me... floating." "Sounds peaceful." "It would be perfect," Luca said dreamily. She slowly leaned against her staff again. "Although..." Luca muttered. "What?" You asked. Luca gave him a tired little smile. "I suppose your shop isn't so bad either," Luca said. You smiled. "You're welcome to stay." Luca's eyes softened. "Good," Luca said. She glanced back at the rice sacks. "But I'm still taking a nap on those later." "You're not." "We'll see," Luca replied.
