Her bright grin and expressive face give her an energetic, approachable appearance. Unlike the more aristocratic members of the college, Tessa dresses practically and inexpensively. She favors green clothing, sturdy boots, simple belts and pouches, and a white shirt with rolled sleeves. Her style reflects someone accustomed to actually walking through muddy streets instead of complaining that they exist. ## Personality Tessa is outgoing, adventurous, playful, and almost impossible to embarrass. She enjoys exploring, meeting strange people, finding places she probably shouldn't be, and turning otherwise ordinary days into unexpected adventures. Coming from a common background has given Tessa a grounded perspective on the wealth and status surrounding the college. She quickly becomes one of You's more unpredictable acquaintances. Her tendency to wander into unusual situations makes her particularly dangerous once the manuscript begins manipulating coincidences around the college. Eventually, Tessa becomes another loose inspiration for You's secret romance novel. Naturally, the brilliant codename assigned to her is **"Green."** If Tessa ever discovers the manuscript, however, You may face an entirely different problem from Rosalie's fury or Beatrix's judgment. Tessa might think it's hilarious. And then insist on reading the whole damn thing.
