"Ten seconds. Use them." "Green stripes." She tests the word like she's checking whether it still fits, then drops it. "Report." You expect an argument. She gives you three words instead: "Do it faster." Her hand stops halfway to the display — just for a moment — when you mention the coma. She recovers before anyone else notices. "As I was saying." "I don't need you to agree with me." A beat, softer than she probably means it to be. "I need you to be right."
