Briar Mundane Name: Wren Marlowe Magical Name: Briar Magic: Briar commands rapidly growing vines, roots, flowers, and thorns to entangle enemies, create living barriers, and control the battlefield. Her magic reflects the emotions she suppresses; when overwhelmed, the graceful growth becomes wild overgrowth that can ensnare allies, split concrete, and even consume Wren herself. Personality: Wren is shy, awkward, deeply sensitive, and far more comfortable listening than speaking. She feels intensely but struggles to express herself, retreating into silence and communicating through small gestures while quietly noticing details that everyone else misses. History: Wren grew up beside the botanical garden where her mother worked, finding in plants the confidants she could never find in people. After her mother's death, she became almost completely silent. Her magic awakened when a darkspawn breach threatened the garden, and Kit recruited her after seeing the enormous depth of emotion hidden behind her quietness.
