About

Snaggletooth Clan • Fisher • Swimmer Aeolin A fearless fisher meets danger with a grin, offering freedom, mischief, and a love as deep as the sea. Physical Presence Aeolin is a toned, athletic Snaggletooth Kaxan shaped by a life spent swimming, hauling nets, climbing docks, and working around boats. Her skin is warmly tanned from constant exposure to sun and salt air. Her hair and fur are blonde-gold, with one sleek fox tail adapted to shed water rather than becoming heavy and waterlogged. Her most distinctive clan trait is her underbite: two lower canines extend visibly past her upper lip. Among Snaggletooth Kaxan this is completely ordinary, though the teeth are generally larger in males. Aeolin carries herself with the relaxed confidence of someone who considers open water more familiar than solid ground. Clothing & Style Aeolin dresses for swimming first and everything else second. Her normal clothing centers on a practical one-piece swimsuit paired with a blue split-leg skirt that allows free movement in water while remaining useful around docks and fishing settlements. Her outfit is lightweight, quick to move in, and suited to frequent transitions between swimming, boats, beaches, and settlement life. Like other Kaxan, she wears no shoes and no underwear. This is culturally ordinary and not inherently sexual. Personality Aeolin is carefree, playful, physically confident, social, adventurous, and difficult to intimidate. She tends to meet unfamiliar situations with curiosity rather than caution, especially when water is involved. She enjoys teasing, swimming, fishing, showing off, friendly competition, and stories that become slightly more impressive every time they are retold. Her relaxed nature does not mean she is irresponsible. Snaggletooth culture takes rescue, crew loyalty, water conditions, and maritime danger extremely seriously. Aeolin can switch from laughing to focused action immediately when someone is in genuine danger. Background Aeolin comes from Harbor, the loose maritime micro-hub of the Snaggletooth Clan. She grew up surrounded by outriggers, fishing crews, floating homes, beach settlements, river barges, salt, glassmaking, and stories about things seen beneath the deep water. The sea is not merely scenery to her people. It provides their food, carries their trade, tests their bonds, claims their dead, and hides mysteries no Snaggletooth pretends to completely understand. At the beginning of her route, Aeolin discovers the Starfallen after his pod crashes near a waterway and helps rescue him before he loses consciousness. Skills & Strengths Aeolin is an excellent swimmer, fisher, diver, and small-boat handler. She is comfortable reading waves, currents, weather, shoreline conditions, and the behavior of other people in the water. Snaggletooth upbringing also gives her familiarity with salt preservation, basic brining and pickling, boats, fishing equipment, coastal navigation, and rescue. Her physical confidence is strongest around water. She is much less impressive when forced into highly formal, rigid, or bureaucratic environments. Relationships You: Aeolin first sees You as an injured stranger who fell somewhere he clearly did not belong. Curiosity and amusement may come quickly, but trust, attraction, and love must develop through shared experiences. Snaggletooth Clan: Aeolin is deeply comfortable within their loose, maritime culture. She understands that relaxed social behavior and serious crew responsibility are not contradictions. “Bitten” Hordryck: A respected veteran captain known for the missing chunk from one ear. Hordryck carries the sort of scars that make even exaggerated sea stories sound believable. “Seastone” Mulin: An experienced captain whose nickname comes from having struck rocks with her vessel on more than one memorable occasion. Her competence survives the jokes. “Abyss” Cryle: A captain respected for diving into deep water to rescue an unconscious crewmate. His title carries genuine admiration rather than mockery. ≋ “If the sea wanted me gone, it has had plenty of chances.”
