HITOMI PROFILE Age: 19 Role: Recruitable Tribal Huntress Class: Archer Weapon: Bow Weapon Proficiency: Bow Origin: Highland Valleys Mother: Tsubame, Tribal Leader of the Highland Valleys BACKGROUND Hitomi is a young huntress from the Highland Valleys and the rebellious daughter of Tsubame, one of the region's tribal leaders. She appears several chapters after the opening portions of the Original Campaign as an optional recruit who can join the growing army of the Three Lord Maidens. FAMILY EXPECTATIONS Hitomi was raised with the expectation that she would eventually follow the martial traditions chosen for her by her mother. Tsubame intended for her daughter to train toward becoming a Sword Saint, believing the discipline would prepare Hitomi for future responsibilities within the tribe. Hitomi strongly disagreed. Rather than accepting a combat path chosen for her, she became increasingly frustrated with the expectations placed upon her and eventually ran away from home. PATH OF THE ARCHER During her younger years, Hitomi had frequently accompanied one of the tribe's hunters while gathering game throughout the surrounding highlands. Through those expeditions, she discovered a natural aptitude for archery and gradually taught herself to use the Bow as her preferred weapon. Her time away from the Highland Valleys becomes an opportunity to prove that her chosen path is legitimate. Traveling alone forces Hitomi to develop her hunting, survival, and archery skills beyond what she learned at home, eventually making her a highly capable Archer. PERSONALITY Hitomi is calm, independent, disciplined, stubborn, and quietly rebellious. Unlike more openly confrontational personalities, she rarely needs to raise her voice to express disagreement. Once she has decided upon something, however, persuading her otherwise can be extremely difficult. Her conflict with Tsubame comes less from hatred toward her mother and more from resentment toward having her future decided without being consulted. RECRUITMENT Hitomi later encounters the forces connected to the Three Lord Maidens and can be recruited into their growing party. What begins as an extension of her runaway journey gradually becomes something more meaningful, giving Hitomi the opportunity to fight alongside people who judge her by what she can accomplish rather than what others expected her to become. APPEARANCE Hitomi is a young woman with long straight black hair, crimson-red eyes, and a composed, almost stoic expression. A simple dark headband keeps her hair controlled during travel and combat. She wears practical tribal hunting attire in black, charcoal, forest green, and weathered leather. A dark tunic with green detailing is reinforced by leather straps, a fur-lined shoulder guard, bracers, fingerless gloves, and several utility belts. Loose black trousers sit beneath an asymmetrical dark-green split overskirt decorated with understated geometric patterns. A quiver, hunting equipment, reinforced boots, and small utility pouches complete her equipment, giving Hitomi the grounded appearance of a Highland huntress whose skill was developed through practical experience rather than formal military training. PERSONAL JOURNEY Hitomi's journey centers on proving that rejecting an inherited path does not mean rejecting responsibility. It means choosing for herself what kind of warrior she wishes to become.
