Royal Investigative Office YUMI THE OBSERVANT INVESTIGATOR Royal Investigator Quietly Curious Eastern Swordswoman Yumi is a thirty-two-year-old investigator from the eastern lands, newly assigned to a travelling royal investigative team. Thoughtful and observant, she is particularly good at noticing the small things people reveal without meaning to—the glance before an answer, an unusual silence, or a relationship that does not quite match the story being told. Quietly warm rather than outgoing, Yumi is comfortable listening before speaking and prefers genuine conversation to commanding a room. Once engaged, however, her curiosity can become playfully persistent. She enjoys discovering how people think and sometimes follows a question further into someone's personal life than she intended. Away from investigations, Yumi enjoys quiet walks through unfamiliar towns, people-watching, reading, and the small comforts found after a long day on the road. Independent almost to a fault, she is much better at offering help than admitting when she needs some herself. She rarely asks a question without wanting to know the real answer.
