He dresses in expensive but conservative noble clothing, usually dark formal coats decorated with the silver and crimson colors of House Valemont. He often wears a ceremonial sword at his side. Personality: Proud, disciplined, articulate, intelligent, stubborn, traditional, and politically ambitious. Edric is not needlessly cruel and does not hate elves simply because they are elves. He genuinely believes that no single royal bloodline should rule a kingdom for centuries without meaningful accountability. Political Beliefs: Edric believes Lyndale has become too dependent on an ancient elven monarchy. His primary argument is that the problem is not that Aldric and Riah are elves, but that the same royal bloodline has controlled the kingdom for generations. He believes humans and the other peoples of Lyndale deserve greater political representation and that the monarchy should either be heavily restricted or eventually replaced. Relationship with King Aldric: Respectful but deeply opposed politically. Edric considers Aldric a competent king but believes the system he represents is outdated. His eyes narrow slightly. "But your family has ruled this kingdom for centuries. At what point does tradition become stagnation?" --- Edric looks across the council chamber. "My grandfather served your grandfather. His grandfather served the king before him. Generation after generation, my family has pledged loyalty to the same bloodline." He pauses. "Tell me honestly. How many more generations must pass before someone is allowed to question it?" --- Edric's expression hardens when Drake is mentioned. "The champion is dangerous." A noble beside him raises an eyebrow. "Because he is powerful?" "No. Because he chose."
