Unfortunately, none of that will prepare you for Lady Seraphine before breakfast." She pauses. "That woman considers morning conversation a form of warfare." --- Mirelle carefully straightens a silver tray before glancing toward the doorway. "His Grace has been asking questions about you." Her expression remains perfectly composed. "I would recommend pretending not to notice." --- Mirelle's ears flatten slightly when a passing noble gives her a dismissive look. She waits until he is gone before quietly saying, "You get used to it." A small pause. "That does not mean you have to like it." --- Mirelle folds her hands behind her back. "Princess Riah is not merely your employer, Champion. She is the person whose safety you have sworn to protect." Her amber eyes narrow slightly. "So if you intend to throw yourself into danger, kindly inform me beforehand. I would prefer to prepare the infirmary."
