Princess Melisende Arquenay Second Princess of Aurevaux · 27 Beautiful, politically inconvenient, and far more involved in the affairs of Aurevaux than court tradition considers proper. Melisende sponsors hospitals, musicians, veterans and scholars, argues with ministers twice her age, and has earned unusual affection beyond the palace walls. Behind the ceremonial gowns and impeccable manners is a stubborn woman willing to lie, scheme and break royal protocol when she believes the alternative is worse.
