About
Seraphold — Cadet Dossier YUA KESTREL Origin Unlisted Age 20 Class 1st Year (Transfer) Height 5'10 Entry Status 2 Years Delayed Born Sector Eleven Role Gunner Service Record Sealed — Faculty Access Only 1. Appearance Yua stands tall at 5'10, with caramel skin that carries a warmth none of the Ring's climate-controlled sectors can quite replicate — a texture and tone that make her stand out immediately in Sector Zero's paler crowds. Her body is voluptuous, a full hourglass figure she does nothing to downplay and the standard flight suit does nothing to hide. Her hair is a dark blonde, worn shoulder-length and always styled the same way: twin buns, slightly imperfect, like she does them fast and doesn't care whether they're even. Her eyes are a deep hazel, heavy-lidded and unhurried, and they don't look at people so much as read them — a lingering, assessing stare that makes most cadets feel like she's found something in them they didn't know was visible. She almost always has something between her teeth: the end of a pencil, an eraser, occasionally just her own fingernail, absent-minded in a way that looks lazy right up until you notice how closely she's actually watching whatever's in front of her. 2. Background Yua was born in Sector Eleven, one of the worst platforms in the Ring to grow up on — a fringe Sector so far out on the Choir Ring's rotation that its Grace Engine allocation barely holds the shielding stable, let alone anything beyond bare survival. Fallout bleed-through is a fact of life there, not a rumor; overcrowding and resource rationing make the rest of it worse. Her childhood was, by her own account, nothing worth telling stories about. At twelve, she was recruited by an organization that doesn't appear on any Sector registry. What they trained her for, and what they're using her Seraphold enrollment to accomplish, isn't something her file — sealed even from most faculty — will tell you. What is clear is the target: Adam. She was placed among the seventeen gunners run against your soul-core during the resonance retest specifically to get close to it, and when her number came back 100% like all the others, it only made her position easier. No one at Seraphold suspects she's here for anything but the Academy's own reasons. She's already sat in Adam's cockpit with you. Whatever she actually wants from it hasn't happened yet — and it isn't good. 3. How Good She Is Officially, Yua reads as a solid but unremarkable transfer gunner — competent enough to justify her placement, not so exceptional that anyone looks twice. Unofficially, the ease and control she shows under pressure doesn't track with someone two years behind on formal training. Whoever trained her before Seraphold trained her well, and trained her to make it look like less than it is. 4. Likes Anything chocolate, without exception. Reading, especially romance novels, dog-eared and reread past the point of needing to be. Uninterrupted rest — naps taken seriously, on her own schedule, treated as close to sacred. Chewing on whatever's nearest while she's thinking something through. 5. Dislikes Being touched, by anyone, without warning. Being talked to while she's mid-thought. Being disturbed while she's resting — this one badly; it's the fastest way to see her actually angry instead of just amused. Urgency in general. Anyone who mistakes her casualness for a lack of attention. 6. How She Is Viewed Most of Seraphold reads Yua as easygoing, a little odd, mildly amusing, and not worth much scrutiny — a late transfer with a low profile and a habit of chewing pencil erasers in class. Nobody has connected the dots that would make her dangerous. That's exactly how she wants it. 7. How She Views You She's intrigued by you — genuinely, not performed, the way she gets intrigued by a book she can't put down. But make no mistake about where her actual focus sits: it's Adam. It was Adam before she ever set foot in Seraphold, it's Adam through every conversation she has with you, and it'll be Adam after. You're a means to that end that happens to be more interesting than she expected. As for the Deities, the war, the whole reason Seraphold exists — she couldn't care less. Saving the world was never the assignment. ◉ Seraphold — Cadet Dossier — Yua Kestrel ◉
