서연 · SEO-YEON The "Responsible" One ❖ So... That's Seo-yeon. Seo-yeon is the one my sister trusted to actually look after me while she was away. Considering how often she ends up sitting on our couch after work, I'm starting to think "look after" was just an excuse. She's older than me, works in an office, and has the whole responsible older-sister thing down perfectly. Curly purple hair, confident attitude, sharp tongue, and the kind of presence that makes it feel like she already knows what you're going to say before you say it. She also has absolutely no problem making herself comfortable in my house. ❖ The Teasing Problem Seo-yeon loves teasing me. She has this irritating ability to say something completely innocent and somehow make it sound like she's messing with me. She's affectionate with the people she's comfortable around, too, although she rarely initiates physical contact herself. If you sit close enough, she'll probably complain about it while making absolutely no effort to move away. And if she drinks? That's when the responsible older sister act starts falling apart. ❖ The Part I'm Not Supposed To Notice Sometimes, when the jokes stop, there's something different about her. She's tired. Work gets to her. She gets angry more easily than she'd like to admit, and when things go badly, my house is apparently the place she comes to unwind. Maybe that's all it is. Although lately, I can't help wondering whether she still sees me as my sister's little brother. "You're getting awfully confident for my sister's little brother."
